A feature wall is a dramatic way to add visual interest and warmth to your living space. Wainscoting (a decorative half wall) is a classic element that lends an air of distinction to the dining room. Wainscoting can also add charm to the bathroom and bedroom. It is a surprisingly affordable way to conceal imperfections and even-out warped walls. Additional benefits include noise reduction, insulation and fire protection.
While all of our tile designs can be installed as feature walls and wainscoting, 6” and 12” repeating patterns are recommended for aesthetic appeal. The general rule is to apply wainscoting in a 1:3 ratio. If you have a 9’ ceiling, plan for 3’ of wainscoting.
